Woodland Easter Egg Trail

Can you find the route and answer the questions that lead you to the Easter eggs?

Come along to Cawthorne Park Woodlands on Sunday 5th April between 12pm and 3pm to test your nature knowledge and your observation skills. Come and join WOLF (Woodland Outreach Learning Foundation) and see the woodland in its spring time glory whilst trying your best to find the trail that will lead you to the Easter Eggs.

The trail will start at the entrance to the wood on Upper Field Lane between Kexborough and High Hoyland (which will be signposted) and take between half an hour and an hour to complete. All children to accompanied by an adult.

WOLF is a voluntary organisation aimed at encouraging fun, training, education and adventure in the woodland environment.

WOLF ( Woodland Outreach Learning Foundation)

Introduction
Woodland Outreach Learning Foundation (WOLF) is a young, not for profit organisation made up of volunteers who share an interest in using a woodland environment to engage people in activities that inspire use of the natural environment for pleasure, education, skills and personal development. WOLF began in May 2008.

Objectives
WOLF’s objectives are:
-To promote and deliver environmental education and woodland skills training
-To provide outdoor learning opportunities for those who have limited access to the woodland environment.
-To raise awareness of environmental sustainability and protection.
-To provide volunteering opportunities.
-To create a centre based on environmental ideals with minimum impact on the woodland environment.
-To provide an educational and enjoyable woodland experience for children, young people and adults from across Barnsley and the Yorkshire region.

Future
WOLF is continually looking for volunteers to help promote the work WOLF would like to achieve and to help secure money for future projects.
